The Spring Lake Lakers opened the season with a 62-46 win against the Whitehall Vikings. Spring Lake turned a 14-10 first quarter deficit into a 31-19 halftime lead outscoring Whitehall 21-5 in the decisive second quarter. The Lakers led all of the second half with the lead reaching 20 points a couple of times and Whiteall did close the gap to 12 but could get no closer. Max Feltner led the Spring Lake offense with 17 points and 8 rebounds while Ayden Ayers added 16 points and 4 steals. Jacob Ayers and Vaughn White chipped in with 8 points a piece while Landon O'Donnell scored 7. Jack Brown had 4 points, 3 steals and 4 assists.
